Ever since Pape Souare suffered that major leg injury as a result of a car accident, Crystal Palace have been eager to find and sign another left-back to add depth to the squad.
In his absence, both Martin Kelly and Joel Ward have had spells on the left side of defence despite both of them wishing they’d rather ply their trade on the opposite flank.

Sam Allardyce is not waiting around to bring in a left-back this month but will need to dig a little deeper into his transfer funds after seeing a £10m bid rejected by Norwich for Robbie Brady, according to Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones.
Last week, it was claimed that Palace had seen a £7m bid rejected for the Republic of Ireland international, making this their second rebuffed offer.
Brady is a natural left-sided player and although he’d rather play on the wing he’s got a wealth of experience playing at left-back in the Premier League with Hull and Norwich as well as on the international stage with Ireland.
It remains to be seen if the Eagles will up their offer again but as we move towards the end of the transfer window Allardyce might become more desperate.
