Eagles midfielder Jordon Mutch is a target for a number of Championship sides this January with Reading and Birmingham City both interested in securing his services.
The 25-year-old has featured on seven occasions so far this season for Crystal Palace, only playing for a full 90 minutes on two occasions, with those coming against Blackpool in the League Cup and on the weekend against Bolton in the FA Cup.
Reading manager Jaap Stam admitted his interest in the midfielder towards the end of last month in an interview with Get Reading, in which he said:
“Jordon is a player who is on the list. We are looking at our options. We are looking at players up front, midfield players, defenders as well.

“It’s good to have a lot of quality players. Jordon is one of those – but we need to have a look to see if it’s the best choice for us and whether it is possible financially.”
Reading are currently looking to push forward with their promotion hopes and currently sit third in the Championship, six points behind second place Newcastle who have a game in hand over Stam’s side.
Mutch has previously played for the other side which are interested in his services, Birmingham, where he moved from to join Cardiff City in 2012.
