A new left-back has been a priority for Sam Allardyce this month but he’s going to need to dig deeper into his transfer kitty if he wants to sign Leeds standout Charlie Taylor.
According to the Guardian, the Championship club have rejected offers from three Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace, for Taylor insisting he’s not for sale.
The Englishman has caught the eye for Leeds in the last 18 months and the Yorkshire club are eager to sign him to a new contract but so far Taylor has rejected every deal put forward to him.
With his deal expiring at the end of the season, Leeds risk losing him for nothing if they don’t sell him this month, yet, they remain adamant that the left-back is not for sale at any price this month.
Middlesbrough and West Brom have both also had bids rejected for the talented defender who looks set for a Premier League move one way or another in the near future.
Allardyce has seen offers turned down for Patrick Van Aanholt, Robbie Brady and Jeffrey Schlupp as his search for a new left-back continues.
