Adding a fullback or two has definitely been Sam Allardyce’s priority this month and it appears as if one is set to join the club.
Arsene Wenger has told the media that right-back Carl Jenkinson could be closing in on a move to Crystal Palace, state the Independent.
“It is a possibility he will move, yes,” Wenger told reporters, and when asked about whether it was Palace who could sign him, Wenger responded, “you look well informed.”
While Wenger seemingly confirmed Palace’s interest in the England international defender, he has stated that the deal is not yet concluded.

“It could go in the next two or three days… I cannot tell you much more because we haven’t reached a conclusion yet.”
Allardyce brought Jenkinson in on loan whilst he was the manager of West Ham and the former Charlton man really enjoyed a great season with the Hammers, arguably the best of his career to date, but it failed to propel him back into the Gunners’ first-team.
An ACL tear during a second loan spell with West Ham last season derailed his progress but now he’s back at full fitness Arsenal are once again looking for loan options. West Ham have also been credited with an interest in signing Jenkinson for a third loan spell.
