Wingers are to watch for over the last two weeks of the January transfer window for Crystal Palace – coming in and going out of Selhurst Park.
Andros Townsend has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle just sixth months after his £13m move to Crystal Palace having endured an unimpressive spell at the club.
The England international has only found the net once since arriving and it’s understood the Toon are eager to bring him back on an initial loan move until the end of the season with a view to making it a permanent transfer in the summer.
Townsend has a good relationship with Rafa Benitez and he left the door open to return to St. James’ Park once Newcastle were a Premier League club again.

To replace Townsend, Middlesbrough’s Stewart Downing is someone Crystal Palace are targeting on a loan move, according to Ed Aarons of the Guardian.
Aitor Karanka has given Downing the green light to leave the club on loan this month with Palace leading the chase for his signature.
Sam Allardyce signed Downing for £5m while he was West Ham manager and the former Liverpool man enjoyed two great seasons under Big Sam, especially in 2014/15 when he was rejuvenated in a No.10 role at the tip of a midfield diamond.
Should Downing reunite with Allardyce this month, don’t be surprised to see him employed in a similar role.
