Goalscorers are hard to come by and Crystal Palace have been seriously lacking in attacking options this season.
With Loic Remy, Frazier Campbell and Jonathan Benteke all struggling with injury throughout the season, summer signing Christian Benteke has been the only Palace forward who has been regularly available for the Eagles this season, but they need more than the Belgian if they have any hope of staying up.
According to Sky Sports who cite their Italian colleagues, Crystal Palace are interested in signing out-of-favour AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang this month, but face competition from Everton, West Ham, Genoa and Torino.
Having spent the last four-and-a-half-years on the books of AC Milan following his £2.5m move from SC Caen in August 2012, Niang has failed to establish himself in the first-team at the San Siro.
In both of the last two seasons, the 22-year-old has found himself sent out on loan to Montpellier and Genoa respectively to further his development but neither move has helped him secure a role in the Milan team.

Milan manager Vincenzo Montella speaking to Milan TV (h/t the Mirror) has revealed that Niang could leave the club this month amid links with Palace.
“Niang might leave the club,” Montella told Milan TV. “He’s discussing it with the management. He won’t be called up for the game against Juve as I thought he would definitely have been distracted.”
Sky report that Milan are asking for £13m to sell the striker but they are open to sending him on a third loan in as many years with an option to buy in the summer.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Niang who they once had on a pre-season trial prior to him joining Milan.
