According to Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol, citing their Italian colleagues, fellow Premier League outfit Watford have agreed a deal to sign AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang this month.
Palace were interested in signing the former France U21 international this month but Watford have swooped in to sign the player on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy in the summer for £13m.
Since his 2012 arrival from SC Caen, Niang has been unable to break into the Milan first-team and in each of the last two January windows before this season he was sent out on loan as well, to Montpellier and Genoa respectively.
Both West Ham and Liverpool were also interested in signing the striker this month.
