Crystal Palace are ready to do a deal with Newcastle for a return of Andros Townsend after just half a season in South London, according to Sky Sports’ Pete Graves.
Townsend scored just once in 21 appearances for the Eagles, and many fans would consider him a flop, compared to how he did with Newcastle on his original spell at St. James’ Park, where he scored four goals in 13 appearances.
The fee is believed to be around £13-million for the England international, who has scored three times in 13 appearances for England.

It is unknown whether the deal will be done in time, with just 10 hours remaining in the January transfer window, as he will have to have a medical, agree terms and sign the contract in that time.
Newcastle will be looking to Townsend to help them get back into the Premier League, with the Toon currently sitting at the top of the Championship and are looking to carry on with their push for promotion.
