Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson has been a player that has been heavily linked with a move to Selhurst Park throughout the transfer window, with Palace able to agree a fee with the North London club, however the real reason for the collapse has been revealed.
According to Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports News, the move for Carl Jenkinson stalled when he found out how much new signing Jeffrey Schlupp was on, when he joined the club.

Arsene Wenger revealed that a deal for Carl Jenkinson to leave Arsenal was unlikely, in a press conference on Monday, ahead of their fixture against Watford this evening.

“At the moment it doesn’t look like anything will happen,” Wenger said.
There is no news about him, but we are still open as we have many players in his position. He has a great attitude, but he must find happiness where he goes.”
A number of tweets since the news was revealed over the collapse of the deal, have been interesting…
