Sam Allardyce tried to bring another of his former Sunderland players to Crystal Palace on deadline day but his club, along with Hull City, failed to complete a deal to sign Yann M’Vila, as per a report from TalkSport.
According to the report, both Premier League sides made enquiries to Ruban Kazan about the possibility of signing the 26-year-old, but both were told the player would only be sold for his release clause.

That value is £11million and it seems like neither the Eagles or tigers were willing, or perhaps able, to spend such a large amount on him.
The midfielder was open to a move back to England and was apparently prepared to move to either side if negotiations went well, but Kazan were understandably unwilling to sell him on the cheap.
In the end, Palace ended up signing four players in the January window, only time will tell if that business was good enough.
