The grind never stops to bring in future stars of the game and for Crystal Palace they’re still on the lookout for additions.
According to the Bury Free Press, Palace are in negotiations to sign AFC Sudbury starlet Tyler French after failing to get the deal done before last night’s 11 PM transfer deadline.
The 17-year-old defender spent three months training with Championship side Ipswich with a view to a permanent move but the Eagles brought him in on trial towards the end of the transfer window.
Palace met with representatives of the Ryman League Premier Division side last night as well as with French himself to try and hammer out a deal but an agreement wasn’t reached.
Sudbury director Richard Instance confirmed that no agreement was reached but there are ongoing discussions over a summer deal.
“We did not get anything concluded last night but there are on-going discussions.
“They said to us that they are very keen to get a deal done, but it now cannot happen in this (January) transfer window.”
French can play in all positions across the defensive line but operates primarily as a fullback.
