While Crystal Palace’s current defence are finding it hard to keep goals out at the moment, one of their youngsters out on loan is raising eyebrows in the Football League.
Ryan Inniss, who is spending this season out on loan with League One outfit Southend United, has impressed in limited playing time due to off-the-field issues and has caught the eye of QPR.
According to Get West London, QPR’s Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, was in attendance at London Road as Inniss played a starring role for Southend during their 4-1 away victory at Peterborough.
Only his fifth league appearance of the season in a campaign derailed by legal issues, Inniss is finally back on track to realising his potential.
The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to assault back in September following an altercation in a bar four months prior.

Initially sentenced to 14 weeks in prison, Inniss successfully appealed the jail sentence and was court-ordered to complete 240 hours of unpaid community service, pay the victim a £300 compensation fee and ordered to take part in a 20-day alcohol rehabilitation course.
This forced the former England U17 international to miss the entire Winter schedule for the Shrimpers and he made his long-awaited return to first-team action off the bench during a 2-2 draw with Northampton earlier this month.
Having spent time on loan with Cheltenham, Luton, Gillingham, Yeovil and Port Vale, Inniss has found a settled (temporary) home with Southend but QPR may come calling in the summer if Crystal Palace don’t feature him in their first-team plans.
