Crystal Palace defender Patrick Van Aanholt has been included in EA Sports’ FIFA 17 Team of the Week after his performance against Middlesbrough on Saturday at Selhurst Park.
The 26-year-old who joined the club on the final day of the January transfer window scored a first half goal against the fellow Premier League strugglers, in the game which was dubbed a six-pointer.
Van Aanholt has made four appearances for the club since joining from Sunderland, with this goal, being his first goal, hopefully of many for the left-back who has impressed fans so far, since his arrival.

Palace manager Sam Allardyce praised the defender for his performance and says that is that type of quality, which Van Aanholt provides, which will keep the Eagles in the top flight and away from the relegation zone.
“For me it was all about the quality in the first half we continued to pepper Middlesbrough’s box with crosses and shots and it came to Patrick van Aanholt and he scored with his weaker foot,” he said.
“We need that sort of quality if we are going to stay up and he has proved himself with four goals this season now – three for Sunderland, one for us.”
