The Crystal Palace squad could be set for some major surgery when the summer transfer window rolls around, whether they get relegated or not.
It’s been an awful season for the Eagles so far and they face an extremely difficult end to the season, so they won’t be focussing too much on what the summer has in store for them, but more on how they go about remaining in the division.
However, a talking point that has arose in recent times is regarding the goalkeeping spot in the team.
Steve Mandanda’s future at Selhurst Park has come under a lot of scrutiny in recent times and he could very well be heading out of the door when the summer transfer window rolls around if he is keen to leave.
Along with this, there are still question marks over Wayne Hennessey’s quality as the number one shot-stopper.
So, here are some goalkeepers we reckon Palace should consider signing!
David Stockdale
Stockdale is consistently good for Brighton and would certainly be a good addition for Palace. He’s a much better goalkeeper than the one that went down with Fulham years ago.
Lukas Hradecky
Hradecky has been in great form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season and would certainly provide a safe pair of hands for Palace.
Stephane Ruffier
Ruffier has always been regarded as one of France’s best keepers but has never had the opportunity to show it outside of Ligue 1. He’d be a shrewd signing.
Victor Valdes
Valdes and Middlesbrough could very well go down this season and if they do, Palace should look to sign the experienced Spanish goalkeeper.
Carlos Kameni
Kameni is coming up to the end of his career but has always been excellent for Malaga. He’d provide an experienced head behind a shaky Palace defence.
Asmir Begovic
Begovic is looking set to leave Chelsea given the lack of playing time and if Palace are looking for experience and quality, he could be a go-to man.
