Crystal Palace defender Patrick Van Aanholt has hinted that he is close to a return from injury after posting a video on Instagram.
The left-back received a knock during the 2-0 win against West Brom two weeks ago, where he was replaced by Jeffrey Schlupp following an ankle injury. He has since sat on the side-lines and has watched Palace win at home to Watford.
Allardyce confirmed after the game that the injury wasn’t as serious as first thought and that the Dutchman could return in as little as three weeks and with the international break coming up he has a chance to fully recover so he could feature away at Chelsea.
The defender took to social media this week to confirm that he’s close to a return saying “On my way back”

He also posted a video on Instagram from the Training Ground Treatment Room saying that his ”ankle is feeling much much better”.

Van Aanholt has already scored one goal this season and his return could give the Palace fans some real hope against Chelsea considering his influence on the team defensively and offensively.
