Crystal Palace ended Chelsea’s 13 game home winning record as they picked up a second successive 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge and, more importantly, an incredible fourth win in a row, moving them further away from the relegation zone.
Palace fell behind after just four minutes as Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring but soon bounced back and scored two goals in just 60 seconds. Wilfried Zaha grabbed the first and then assisted Christian Benteke for the other to give the Eagles the lead in the game.
With all the goals coming in the first 11 minutes, Allardyce’s men had to remain defensively firm for the remaining hour and 20 minutes, as well as the nine minutes of added time. They did so and recorded a famous win against the Premier League’s champions-elect, Chelsea.
