Crystal Palace showed a lot of fight to come back from two down to secure a point at home to Leicester City on Saturday.
It was another important match for Sam Allardyce in his pursuit to keep Palace above the relegation zone and although the hosts were made to settle for a point, the Eagles boss will be content with how his side fought back.
Leicester took the lead after just six minutes, with Robert Huth climbing the highest to power his side ahead. It was a quiet first-half but the game burst into life after the interval and it was the Foxes who struck next, with Jamie Vardy firing home his side’s second of the afternoon.
However, Palace dug deep and managed to claw their way back into the match as goals from Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke helped to get a valuable draw.
Here are our match ratings for Palace from Saturday’s score draw.
Wayne Hennessey - 5
Should have probably stopped Vardy’s strike from hitting the net.
Joel Ward - 6
After a poor first half, Ward recovered well and was solid for the second 45.
Mamadou Sakho - 6
Wasn’t his usual imposing self but got on with his job and stuck to the task.
Martin Kelly - 6
Kelly, like Sakho, was solid but not spectacular.
Jeffrey Schlupp - 6
Schlupp lost focus for Vardy’s goal but provided Cabaye with an assist. A solid display.
Luka Milivojevic - 6
Another player with a standard rating of six, Milivojevic was a little ineffective but got on with his business well and broke up play in the second half.
Yohan Cabaye - 7
Cabaye burst into life in the second half after a quiet first 45, scoring his second goal in as many games.
Wilfried Zaha - 7
Like many on the day, Zaha woke up in the second half and was a real thorn in the Leicester side.
Jason Puncheon - 6
Neat and tidy but fairly ineffective throughout.
Andros Townsend - 7
Townsend was relentless on the wing and probably deserved a goal.
Christian Benteke - 8
Benteke was imperious throughout and linked the play well. His goal was key.
