Burnley head to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace on Saturday evening, with both teams looking to get the three points to reach the all important 40 point-mark.
The visitors are a team in opposing form to Palace and haven’t won on the road all season. They have only picked four points from 17 games away from home. Their last win in the league came against Stoke on April 4th at home and they will be looking to beat a Palace side who have been in impressive form over the last month.
Palace, however, will be looking to continue this form and claim the points that could mathematically confirm survival.
MANAGERS VIEW
Sam Allardyce: “We were fantastic in the first half and matched Tottenham all the way through that time. Eriksen wondergoal settled it.”
Talking about fixtures: “This can’t go on. You’re putting a team at a severe disadvantage if you allow the opposition more rest time than the other. Had we been fresher maybe we would have closed Eriksen down better. Done now, we’ve got to realise the importance of Burnley.”
“We want to beat Burnley to get over that 40 point mark and put it to bed once and for all. Will require a big, big effort.”
“Patience is paying off for Burnley. Sean’s provided a recruitment and training policy that delivers. He’s done a fantastic job.”
“Three points is going to do it. Mathematically not quite, but I don’t think you’ll be caught on 41 points.”
“Every club in our position has pencilled in plans for 17/18. You can rub them out and write them in ink when you’re safe. You can survive in the PL if you build a great infrastructure. Growing slowly but surely can work due to the money you get.”
“6 or 7 injuries can kill you as a manager, no matter the club. That’s the benefit of us having so many centre halves.”

Sean Dyche: “It’s my job, the team’s job, the staff’s job to see about the reality of what we’re achieving this season, because we are achieving.”
“We have more points than we did ever in the Premier League and it’s now about taking it all the way.”
“It’s now about everything we’ve learned over the season and delivering performances in these last four games.”
“We, as a club, without a shadow of a doubt are in really good shape going into this last bunch of games.”
