Sam Allardyce was wheeling and dealing during the January transfer window and the four signings he made have all played big roles in the Eagles’ survival bid over the last four months.
Mamadou Sakho, Luka Milivojevic, Jeffrey Schlupp and Patrick van Aanholt have each contributed greatly but Allardyce was keen on striking a deal to sign Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal.
Allardyce took the right-back on loan during his time at West Ham and Jenkinson had the best season of his career playing every week at Upton Park but a knee injury the following season derailed his progress.
Crystal Palace agreed a deal to sign Jenkinson in January only for the deal to fall through at the final hurdle, but Palace will go again for Jenkinson in the summer, according to ESPNFC.
Jenkinson is way down the pecking order at the Emirates, especially since Arsene Wenger made the switch to a 3-4-3 formation, making just five first-team appearances this season.
