Crystal Palace are believed to still be interested in signing Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodji, despite Huddersfield Town also showing a real interest in him, according to the Belgian media.
Mbodji, 27, is on a number of clubs’ radar according to Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg with Leicester, Watford and David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town all keen to take the defender to the Premier League.
The Eagles had a €12 million offer rejected for the Senegalese defender in January, however, reports suggest that Anderlecht are willing to let Mbodji go for less than what Palace offered in January.
The Crystal Palace target isn’t short of confidence and thrives on comments suggesting he is the ‘king’, with press in Belgium saying his form has taken a dramatic dip since January and blaming ‘overconfidence’ for that dip in form.
It sounds like Anderlecht want to sell the defender in the upcoming transfer window, and he looks likely to be heading to the Premier League but it remains to be seen if Palace can fend off Leicester, Watford and Huddersfield for his signature.
