Outside of Christian Benteke who netted 15 goals in 36 Premier League appearances following his club-record £30m move from Liverpool last summer, Crystal Palace had very little in terms of a goal threat through the middle last season.
The next Eagles manager will look to address this and the club are already readying a list of targets they wish to pursue, and according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Football London), Palace want to sign Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi.
Munir came through the famed La Masia academy and broke into the Barcelona first-team during the 2014/15 season and has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 45 career games for Barcelona to date.
He spent last season on loan with Valencia and despite scoring seven goals and assisting on three occasions, the La Liga club have decided not to press ahead with a deal to sign him.
Capped once by Spain, Munir can play across the forward line and could be available for just €12m this summer, as that was the fixed option in Valencia’s loan contract.
Everton, West Ham, Southampton, Real Sociedad and Ajax are all also said to be interested in signing the 21-year-old attacker this summer.
