Steve Mandanda has been linked with a move to Lille with his former coach Marcelo Bielsa taking over the club and is interested in re-signing the goalkeeper, France Football reports.
Lille and Marseille are the front-runners to snap up Mandanda from the Eagles with the player looking for a move away from Selhurst Park after failing to dislodge Wayne Hennessey as the club’s number one goalkeeper.
It has been reported that the Palace owner, Steve Parish, wants €5 million for Mandanda, however, Marseille are taking their time to reach his valuation so Lille could come in and take the goalkeeper from Marseille.
This move would make sense for both Lille and Marseille, as they are looking for replacements for their current keepers and Mandanda is hoping to return to France.
It was reported that Bielsa tried to bring Mandanda to Lazio last year, as he is a massive fan of the French shot-stopper but Bielsa’s move to Lazio fell through as he pulled out of procedures with the Italian club.
