Crystal Palace are ready to back their new boss Frank De Boer, starting off with a determined move for out of favour Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Eagles are set to announce former Ajax manager De Boer as Sam Allardyce’s replacement and will waste no time in the hunt for new signings, starting off with 20-year-old Iheanacho.
Iheanacho hasn’t had much first team football in 2017 with manager Pep Guardiola opting to use Gabriel Jesus over him and is willing to let the player go for around £20 million.
West Ham and Leicester are also keen on the Nigerian striker, with City set to place in a buy-back option into any deal in order to ensure they do not regret allowing him to leave the Etihad.
Palace are looking at attacking options to help Christian Benteke up front and believe Iheanacho is the perfect player to help Benteke and may even play with two strikers for the upcoming season.
