Burnley are interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur, according to a report from the Daily Mail .
The 29-year-old signed for Palace in 2014 and has gone on to play 95 games in all competitions, scoring nine goals in the process.
According to the report in the Mail, Sean Dyche is keen to bolster his midfield options after losing Joey Barton to a ban after he was found guilty of breaking the FA’s rules on gambling. There is also some talk suggesting that Steven Defour is unsettled in England and that he could push for a move away.

With Frank De Boer taking charge at Selhurst Park, there is a lot of uncertainty around the club in terms of who he’ll want to keep and who he’ll be willing to let go and it appears that McArthur could be one of the players deemed surplus to requirements and if that proves to be the case, Burnley would be happy to take him.
