Frank De Boer looks set to make Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek his first signing as Crystal Palace manager, The Telegraph reports.
De Boer is close to securing Loftus-Cheek on a season-long deal after fighting off competition from Newcastle, Southampton, and Brighton.
The 21-year-old is expected to complete his loan moan to Selhurst Park within the next 24 hours.
Palace are the only Premier League side yet to make a signing this summer, but the completion of Loftus-Cheek’s loan deal will kick-start De Boer’s recruitment plans this summer.
Loftus-Cheek will become the third Chelsea youngster to leave Stamford Bridge on a loan deal this summer after Tammy Abraham secured a loan move to Swansea and Kasey Palmer joined newly promoted Huddersfield.
Loftus-Cheek made just six Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season and the England Under 21 international will be looking to gain some regular first team football at Selhurst Park next season.
