Crystal Palace have re-opened talks with Arsenal over the signing of defender Calum Chambers, after a £16m bid was knocked back by the Gunners last week.
The Daily Mail report that Arsene Wenger is waiting for a £20m bid to be placed for the young defender before he accepts an offer, with the Arsenal manager looking to make profit on the £16m they signed the 22-year-old for in 2014.
Chambers made 26 appearances on loan last season at Middlesbrough where he had a good season, gathering the attention of other clubs in securing his services this summer.

Two other teams in the Premier League have also been linked with Chambers this summer with his former team Southampton being one of them, and the other being the window’s most active Premier League team, Everton.
Palace fans have been calling for Frank de Boer to sign more defenders in this transfer window with Wednesday’s Premier League Trophy match against Liverpool, showing the Eagles’ continued vulnerability at the back.
