Crystal Palace manager Frank De Boer has played down speculation linking him with a move for PSV forward Luuk De Jong.
There have been reports this week that Palace are interested in De Jong and were ready to make an offer for the striker.
However, De Boer has poured cold water on that flame by saying that he is “not exactly what we’re looking for”.

Speaking to journalist Job Van Der Zon, De Boer said this:
Twitter: Crystal Palace ziet af van Luuk de Jong, laat Frank de Boer weten. “Vrij duur en niet precies wat we zoeken.” #PSV https://t.co/9jzH86n0Zx (@job_dusoleil)
The Palace boss claims that a move for his compatriot would be too expensive. This does suggest that Palace enquired over his price, but will not be taking it any further.
Christian Benteke was Palace’s top goalscorer last season but the club are looking to add to their ranks to ease the burden on the Belgian.
