Crystal Palace suffered another opening day defeat in the Premier League, this time however at the hands of the newly promoted Huddersfield Town who gave Frank de Boer’s side a masterclass.
The Eagles could have suffered a heavier defeat if it wasn’t for a couple of last ditched tackles with Wayne Hennessey, Joel Ward and Jason Puncheon being at the center of discontent from Palace fans on Twitter and other social networking sites.
Steve Mounie was the stand-out performer of the game for the visitors with two goals to his name, two on either side of the half-time break, both as easy as the other to get past the Palace defence and goalkeeper Hennessey.
On the home side however, both loan signings impressed with Ruben-Loftus Cheek creating most of the chances that Palace had throughout the game, putting Zaha through on goal on numerous occasions.

Twitter: Wayne Hennessey has survived 3 managers as the starting keeper. Let that sink in #cpfc (@spiffinsmithin)
Twitter: I was willing to trust FdB with 3-4-3. However, it’s completely negated our 2 best attacking players & totally exposed us at the back. #cpfc (@GilesyL14)
Twitter: Other thoughts: Puncheon looked lost today #cpfc (@Clapham_Grand)
Twitter: The thought of facing Liverpool’s front line next is enough to soil the pants of most Palace fans at Selhurst today. #CRYHUD #CPFC (@jcreedy)
