Crystal Palace have partnered with Twickets, a ticket re-sale service that allows its season ticket holders the opportunity to re-sell their seat for individual games they can no longer attend, at face value, to fellow season ticket holders and members.
Palace become the first Premier League club to partner with Twickets, a site set up to cut out ticket touting sites. Tickets offered for sale will be sold through the Twickets platform, where they can be purchased safely and securely.
Speaking to the club’s official site, Chairman Steve Parish, who is a recent investor in Twickets said: “Through this partnership we’re actively making a stand against fans being exploited in the secondary market and offering our season ticket holders flexibility with their tickets, and members a chance to get to games when a season ticket holder can’t.”
“With Twickets, fans who cannot attend a game can make their tickets available to other Palace fans, but only at face value. We want to make sure that club members at Selhurst Park aren’t paying over the odds through unofficial platforms.”
Twickets founder, Richard Davies, added: “Becoming the first face value resale platform to represent a Premier League club is a significant and powerful step for Twickets.”
“Building on our experience with Queens Park Rangers, we look forward to working with Crystal Palace to facilitate and oversee a convenient resale option between Palace supporters.”
