Combined XI: Crystal Palace vs Swansea

Crystal Palace have not started the season in the manner that they would have hoped or expected.

Following a 3-0 opening weekend defeat to newly promoted Huddersfield Town, the Eagles lost 1-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool last weekend, leaving them 19th in the league at this early stage, as one of five teams yet to register a single point so far.

Up next Frank de Boer’s men is a visit from Swansea City, who have a solitary point from opening weekend, and lost 4-0 to a rampant Manchester United last time out.

Swansea have lost Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to free-spending Everton this summer, but have invested in the midfield and look a promising side.

Las Palmas pass master Roque Mesa joined the Swans for £11.25 million earlier in the window, whilst Sam Clucas has joined from Hull City this week, and could make his debut against Palace.

We’ve combined the two squads, including their new signings, to come up with this starting eleven… let us know what you think of it on Twitter!

matchday.
