Leicester City have made a £27million bid for Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend, according to a report from Simon Mullock of the Mirror.
The Foxes are expected to lose Riyad Mahrez before the transfer window closes and are trying to get ahead of the curve by getting his replacement in early.
Palace paid £13million to sign the 26-year-old from Newcastle just over 12 months ago so if they choose to sell, they”ll make a healthy profit.

However, losing a key starting player does not seem like a particularly wise move t the moment as Palace have had a poor start to the season.
The Eagles, under new manager Frank de Boer, have lost all three of their league games so far without even scoring a goal, so losing Townsend would be a blow.
However, De Boer could choose to cash in on the England international in ordee to fund moves for players he’d like to have in his side as he’s pretty much working with Sam Allerdyce’s squad at the moment.
