Newcastle United could be planning a shock move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, according to the Chronicle Live.
Reports suggest that Newcastle have been priced out of moves for their top two goalkeeping targets Fernando Muslera of Galatasaray and West Ham’s Adrian San Miguel.
Rafa Benitez’s side also look set to miss out on Napoli’s Pepe Reina who is a transfer target for Paris St-Germain.
Benitez is looking to move on from goalkeeper Tim Krul and acquire a replacement for him before the transfer window closes, with Hennessey now a serious option for the Spaniard.

Hennessey has been Palace’s first choice goalkeeper since the 2015/16 season and Newcastle are considering a move for the 30-year-old Welsh international.
Newcastle claimed their first victory of the season at the weekend with a 3-0 win at home to West Ham, whilst Crystal Palace are still looking to pick up their first points of the season.
