According to the Daily Mail, as cited by HITC, Crystal Palace are set to make a late transfer deadline day bid for Fleetwood Town goalkeeper, Alex Cairns.
Palace have been in the market all summer for a new goalkeeper, after the departure of Steve Mandanda, who went back to Marseille.
The likes of Adrian from West Ham, Jasper Cillessen from Barcelona, Jeroen Zoet from PSV and Michel Vorm from Tottenham. The common denominator from these names are the fact that 3/4 are Dutch, which was expected due to the arrival of new, Dutch manager, Frank de Boer.

However, after failing in pursuing these names, they are still looking for a goalkeeper and Cairns looks the most likely to join.
Cairns, 24, has made 44 appearances is his professional career, keeping a clean sheet in half of them, conceding 36 goals, which is a pretty good record, so, could he be the main to stop the constant leaks in Palace’s defence?
