Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is understood to be close to joining Sunderland on loan, according to The Northern Echo.
The 23-year-old is reportedly travelling to Wearside where he will undergo a medical, before joining The Black Cats on a season-long loan.
Williams broke through into the Palace first-team in 2001, and since then has made 69 appearances for The Eagles. He has also spent some time out on loan, enjoying spells at Ispwich, Nottingham Forest and MK Dons.

Sunderland, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, will be looking to bounce straight back to the top flight in thuis campaign, and Williams is set to become their fifth summer signing.
Sunderland boss Simon Grayson is ready to offer Williams some first-team football in the North-East, with Palace willing to off-load for now.
The Welsh midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Selhurst Park and will be looking forward to some game time where he can hopefully prove himself.
