Despite Frank de Boer’s sacking, Crystal Palace remain in contact with Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, according to sportsmediaset.
New boss Roy Hodgson is thought to be keen on bolstering his attacking options after his side failed for the fifth league game in a row to find the back of the net.
Babacar, 24, has had to settle for a place on the bench at the beginning of the campaign for Fiorentina, and is thought to be willing for a move to England in the January window.
The Senegalese international has been applying his trade in Serie A with Fiorentina since 2009 and has scored 23 times in 86 appearances for the club.
The players agent, Fali Ramadani, is thought to be eager in getting one of his clients in the Premier League after failing to do so with Ivan Perisic over the summer as his move to Old Trafford fell through.
