Premier League champions Chelsea are considering a move for Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke as Antonio Conte looks to add a proven goalscorer to his squad in January, according to a report on the Daily Star.
The Belgian forward is currently sidelined with a knee injury but the Blues are still interested in securing his services to give Spaniard Alvaro Morata some back-up.
Palace are understood to not be keen on a deal to sell Benteke in January as he is most likely the player who can fire them away from relegation this season.

Palace have struggled up front this season and have only scored two goals in the Premier League so far.
Benteke made a torrid start to the season as did Palace, but the Eagles manager Roy Hodgson will be hoping that after recovering from injury, the striker can find his goalscoring touch back.
Hodgson is looking for a striker himself as he has had to play Wilfried Zaha and Bakary Sako as the forwards recently.
The striker is under contract at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2020 which means it is very unlikely that Palace will agree to any deal involving the sale of the ex-Liverpool forward.
