Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have made the first move in the chase for Crystal Palace and Newcastle United target Cenk Tosun.
According to Turkish outlet Sporx (via TalkSPORT), the German side have made a formal offer to Besiktas for Tosun, who has registered six goals and two assists in 10 appearances this season.
The Turkish forward joined Besiktas from Gaziantespspor in 2013, after scoring 44 goals in 122 appearances for them; the 26 year old has now made 250 senior appearances in his club career, scoring 100 goals and making 35 assists.
Tosun has also made 24 appearances for the Turkish national team, scoring eight goals, including five in World Cup qualification games.

He is a reported target for Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, but Wolfsburg, who have only scored nine goals this season, are looking for the Germany-born Turk to partner veteran German striker Mario Gomez up front, in a bid to turn their season around.
Crystal Palace themselves need the firepower though, so are expected to make a move soon in order to stop Tosun making the switch to the Bundesliga; though as well as Newcastle United, AC Milan are thought to be interested in the Besiktas striker.
