Crystal Palace have been linked with Khouma Babacar once again. He was strongly suggested for Palace back in January 2016 but, there was no deal and there is another chance to sign him in the January window.
The Senegalese striker was on the verge of signing for Palace’s rivals Brighton for £16m back in July, but talks fell through and he remained in Serie A. With rumours resurfacing, Roy Hodgson will be looking to land Khouma Babacar in the next two months to improve their depth up front.
So far this season, Babacar has scored twice in nine appearances. Last season, he scored fourteen goals in all competitions for Fiorentina. He is also being targeted by West Brom and Everton who are looking to bolster their attack as well. Babacar is keen to come to England and Crystal Palace will have to battle with other Premier League teams to land the Senegalese man.

Babacar is considered to be one of the best Senegalese strikers around and you can see why when you look at his statistics. Babacar has made over 100 appearances for Fiorentina scoring over thirty goals and providing nine assists. Finding a striker will be Hodgson’s top priority in the January window and Babacar could be what they’re looking for.
Crystal Palace will be in for a handful of players to improve their squad for the relegation dogfight over the next half of the season. Babacar is one to look out for in the upcoming window and he could be one of the hottest prospects in the winter.
