Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson given good news to fans as forward Christian Benteke is fit to face Everton in the Premier League this weekend. However, he also revealed that midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek missed training because of a back problem, according to Sky Sports.
Belgian striker Benteke has been out of action after suffering ligament damage towards the end of September against Manchester City, but he is now back in full training ahead of the clash with Everton.
Hodgson said:
Christian Benteke trained in the week. I don’t think it’ll be a risk playing Christian [against Everton].
Hodgson will be hoping that Benteke can keep himself fit so he can fire the London side away from relegation this season.
Loftus-Cheek had to be substituted in the 35th minute of England’s 0-0 draw against Brazil at Wembley after suffering a back injury.

The 21-year-old missed training with the Palace squad and is looking increasingly doubtful to feature this weekend.
We’re assessing Ruben, that’s the main thing. He didn’t train today. But it’s a back spasm – so there’s a hope that will get better.
Even a win this weekend won’t take Palace off the bottom of the table but it will given them hope of catching their fellow relegation strugglers just above them.
