According to Football Espana, Getafe ‘keeper, Vicente Guaita is very close to joining Crystal Palace after passing his medical.
Palace have triggered the €8m release clause for the goalkeeper and it now looks like he will join The Eagles anytime this week.
The South London side were in the market all summer for a new goalkeeper, but they failed in many pursuits for a new No. 1 between the Selhurst Park sticks, and this season has shown the weaknesses in both Wayne Hennessey’s and Julian Speroni’s game, so they will be hoping that Guaita can solve their goalkeeping problems.

It was reported that the Spanish outfit rejected Roy Hodgson and Crystal Palace’s €4m bid for the goalkeeper earlier this window, before they decided to trigger the 30-year-old’s release clause at Getafe, where he has struggled to hold down a starting place this season due to being unsettled at the side currently sitting 9th in La Liga.
