Crystal Palace trio Bakary Sako, Yohan Cabaye and Joel Ward are close to signing new contracts at Selhurst Park, according to the Guardian.
The out of contract trio are set to be free-agents in the summer, but after discussions with their respective representatives, they are believed to be close to signing new deals on reduced terms.
Sako joined Palace on a three-year deal in 2015 following his release from Wolves, and has since made 50 appearances, scoring 8. The Malian’s form started to pick up under the management of Roy Hodgson, as he played an important role as back-up to Zaha, but his 2017/18 season was cut short due to a fractured ankle he picked up in January.

Cabaye also joined Palace in the summer of 2015, signing on a three-year contract for a then club record fee. He has since gone on to make 106 appearances in the red and blue, scoring 10 goals along the way. Recently he has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 with Marseille, but this potential new deal could end that speculation and ward off any interest.
Having made his move to Palace from Portsmouth back in 2012, Ward has made an impressive 185 appearances for the Eagles, and currently holds the record for most Premier League appearances for a Crystal Palace player.
With all three players set to sign new deals, all on reduced wages, the money saved in new signings could be spend on other areas of the squad, as Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman and Roy Hodgson set about their summer recruitment.
