The agent of Russian striker Fedor Smolov has claimed that Crystal Palace are interested in signing the forward, Sport Witness reports.
Smolov’s agent Sandor Varga has spoken to Sport Express about the Krasnodar attacker and said that Roy Hodgson’s side have been showing great interest in his player.
Smolov is currently at the World Cup with the Russia national squad and is set to feature against Spain in the round of 16.

Varga spoke to Sport Express of the interest in his player.
I am aware of the interest being shown by Roy Hodgson, the manager of Crystal Palace, also my friend. They are watching him very closely. He could be a good fit for the Premier League.
The Russian striker was linked with a move to the Premier League in January too, with West Ham United said to have bene interested. However any potential move failed to materialise.
Smolov played 22 times for Krasnodar last season and scored 14 goals. He has just one year remaining on his contract with the Russian side.
