Crystal Palace midfielder Andros Townsend has underlined the importance of keeping star man and Tottenham target Wilfried Zaha at the club.
The Mirror report that several clubs are interested in the £65 million-rated Ivorian, who scored nine goals and provided three assists in the Premier League last season.
Those clubs are thought to include Chelsea, both Manchester United and City, Tottenham and German outfit Borussia Dortmund.
Zaha was again the standout player as he scored twice in the club’s pre-season friendly against Reading on Saturday, and Townsend said after the match:
Of course it is no secret, our record with and without Wilf last season. He is a top player and we are thankful to have him at the club – and hope that continues for a long time.

The winger hit the headlines last week when a little too much was read into a message he had posted on Instagram, with many suggesting he was set to leave the club.
Zaha has, of course, left the Eagles before, joining Manchester United in January 2013 in a deal worth up to £15 million.
However, the move didn’t go according to plan, and the winger returned to Selhurst Park on a permanent basis just over two years later.
