Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur has signed a contract extension which will see him remain at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2021, according to a report on the official club website.
McArthur has become a key figure in the middle of the pitch for the Eagles and his impressive performances have seen him rewarded with a new deal.

The Scotsman is approaching 150 appearances for Palace and he has been one of the most reliable performers ever since he joined the club four years ago.
The midfielder is thoroughly enjoying his time at the club and he’s delighted to have extended his stay. He said:
I’m very pleased to commit myself to the club for another three years. It’s great, and I’m excited about the challenges that come. The manager has brought the best out of me from last season, and I really enjoy playing under him.
We have a very good squad where there is competition for places all over the field, and I think we’ll get stronger and stronger.
McArthur has played in all five of Palace’s Premier League matches this season but is yet to find the back of the net.
The 30-year-old is key to this Palace side because of his defensive ability and his work rate.
