Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that he is “very happy” with Max Meyer, despite not giving him a start in the Premier League this season.
As reported on the Daily Mail, Meyer has made four appearances from the bench in the league, with his full Palace debut coming in the Carabao Cup victory over Championship side Swansea City.

The highly-rated German international is yet to prove his worth at Selhurst Park, but Hodgson is backing the summer signing to impress over the course of the season.
The 23-year-old has not been rushed into action in the league and Hodgson wants him to be fully prepared before making his first start in the competition.
He said:
I’m very happy with Max. He’s been training very well, and we like what we see. He’s a Premier League player and will keep on showing that.
Max knitted our play together very well when he came on against Newcastle; he’s very lively and he’s always in my thoughts to play.
Meyer has played four times for Germany’s senior side and will be hoping for a start tomorrow evening as Palace travel to West Brom in the Carabao Cup third round.
