Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he is pleased with the attitude of his players during the comfortable 3-0 victory against West Brom in the Carabao Cup.
The Palace boss returned to the Hawthorns and received a warm welcome back to his former club, but he had his mind focused on getting the win and advancing into the next round.

The Championship club were simply outclassed by Hodgson’s men, who played with confidence and seriousness, which is what pleased their manager.
As quoted on the Birmingham Mail, he said:
I must say it was a very good team performance. Everything about the performance was just what I wanted. We prepared for the game very seriously. We were excellent in every aspect.
It’s not very often you say that as a coach. We defended excellently and there were very few chances. Our attacking players were great and there was a lot of craft and creativity.
Hodgson handed the chance to some of the fringe players to prove to him that they deserve to be in the starting line up regularly and many of them took their chance with both hands.
Palace now turn their attention to the Premier League as they travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth on Monday night.
