Watford captain Troy Deeney has admitted that Watford planned to foul Wilfried Zaha during their encounter earlier in the season, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
Zaha received some aggressive treatment from the Watford players as the Eagles fell to a 2-1 defeat and Deeney has spoken honestly about his side’s tactics to stop the Englishman.

Deeney claims that the Hornets would take it in turns to foul Zaha so they could avoid being booked by the referee.
Etienne Capoue was lucky not be sent off as he brutally stamped on Zaha’s Achilles.
Deeney said:
You take it in turns kicking him. I know no one wants to hear that, but you go; “You hit this time, you hit him the next time”, you don’t have the same player tackle him because you know you’re gonna get booked.
Zaha recently hit out at the Premier League referees for not punishing players who continue to foul him and he claimed that he would need to break his leg in order for some action to be taken.
The former Manchester United winger feels that he gets treated unfairly and after these comments from Deeney, it is clear to see that players intentionally go out to try and foul him.
