Crystal Palace will face competition from West Ham in pursuit of former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.
According to a report from Calciomercato, as cited on Football Italia, West Ham are looking to take advantage of Dzeko’s desire to work behind the scenes when he retires and offer him a director’s role as part of the deal.
The player has recently completed a degree in sports management as he begins to prepare for life after his playing career.
At the age of 34, Dzeko is reaching the latter stages of his career, but could still make one more move before calling time on his playing days.

The Bosnian international is being heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League, with reports claiming Southampton and Cardiff are interested in signing him.
Chelsea were heavily linked with the player last season, but he opted to remain in Roma.
Dzeko has been one of the more consistent strikers in Europe since moving to Roma, where he has impressed in both the Champions League and Serie A.
