Luka Milivojevic has been named in Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week after his impressive showing against Arsenal on Sunday.
Milivojevic was at the heart of Palace’s midfield as Roy Hodgson’s men came close to causing an upset at home.
Writing for the BBC, Crooks explains why he has put the Palace star in his team.
Milivojevic converted two of the biggest penalties he will ever score in his life against Arsenal. Taking penalties is stressful enough but when your team are struggling to score goals and pick up points, converting them means everything.
Wearing the captain’s armband is not a fashion item – it actually means something. Milivojevic played a captain’s role against Arsenal, saving Palace a point in the bargain.

Milivojevic was on the scoresheet not once, but twice for Palace against Arsenal.
Both goals came from the penalty spot and the midfielder was keen to put his previous penalty miss at Everton behind him.
He has become known for his ability from the spot since joining the club.
Palace could be considered unlucky to not come away with all three points, but the result leaves the club 14th in the Premier League.
Hodgson’s side are three points above the relegation zone after a tricky start to the season.
