Van Aanholt confident Palace will turn season around

Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt has outlined what the club must do to come back strong, following their recent disappointing run of results.

The Eagles have lost five of their last six Premier League games, with the most recent being a 1-0 loss to Tottenham at Selhurst Park.

Palace have also failed to beat Bournemouth, Wolves, Everton and Chelsea in their last six, however full-back Van Aanholt insists that there are positives that his side can take.

And the Netherlands international has also outlined what Palace must do to begin climbing the Premier League table, with the London-based outfit currently on just eight points in 16th position.

Talking about the Tottenham defeat, as quoted by Football.London, Van Aanholt said:

We played well, we played strongly but we didn’t get any points.

It’s frustrating but we’ve got to stick together. It’s a difficult time but, like I said, we need to stick together like we always do and the points will come.

We were solid defensively, it was just a bad day.

Van Aanholt continued by explaining that Palace have been in a similar position before, and the club will use their previous experiences to help them rectify their situation. He said:

We’ve been here before.

But, like I said, we are very good – we’ve just got to get the points up.

As soon as we get the points up, we’ll be alright.”
